Dartmouth Health trims staff amid rising costs
Dartmouth Health announced it will cut 124 jobs and cancel 303 unfilled positions as operating costs have risen about 12%, impacting Tele-ICU and Tele-ED services. The New England Alliance for Health and Lean Six Sigma training programs are also being scaled back to cut costs. Officials say patient care won’t be negatively impacted and employees will be offered internal opportunities to reassign, as the system seeks longer-term sustainability.
