Pixel gets Android 17 with bubbles, multitasking boosts, and Pixel-only tools
Google is rolling out Android 17 to Pixel phones as part of the June Pixel Drop, with other manufacturers to follow later in 2026. Highlights include official Bubble-style floating windows with a bottom “bubble bar” for easier multitasking on foldables and tablets, Screen Reactions for selfie-recording during screen captures, enhanced foldable gaming controls with native remapping, and Pixel-exclusive tools like Gemini Omni and Lyria 3; additional Gemini Intelligence features are expected on select devices later this summer.
