Defense Dominates Packers Practice 7 Ahead of Family Night
Green Bay’s seventh training-camp session was closed to the public; the team wore pads and worked on trick plays and situational football, with the defense extending a 7-0 run in the day’s drills. The No. 1 offense featured Jordan Love with a new offensive-line grouping (Morgan, Burton, Rhyan, Monk, Belton) while the No. 1 defense faced a reshuffled unit. The injury report added RB Josh Jacobs (groin) among others, and practice notes highlighted lineup moves, including Carrington Valentine out and Brandon Cisse taking first-team snaps at cornerback. Family Night is Friday, and the Packers’ preseason opener vs the Steelers looms after a Sunday practice.
