Putin's 74th Birthday Marked by Devastating Russian Missile Barrage on Ukraine
Russia launched a massive overnight missile and drone assault on Ukraine on October 7, coinciding with Vladimir Putin's 74th birthday. The attack killed at least 30 people and injured over 100, with the deadliest strike hitting a residential building in Pryluky, Chernihiv Oblast, killing 22, including five children. Kyiv, Dnipro, and other cities suffered significant damage to civilian infrastructure, including bridges and water supply systems, prompting President Zelensky to urge international leaders to condemn the escalation.
