Romo’s Milwaukee OWI Stop Captured in New Bodycam Release
New bodycam footage shows former Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo being arrested in Milwaukee on suspicion of operating while intoxicated after a July 23 traffic stop. The video depicts Romo saying he was coming from a golf course and had consumed zero drinks, undergoing field sobriety tests over about 12 minutes, expressing a wish to call a lawyer, and then refusing a breath test before being booked on one count. Prosecutors say the case is a civil traffic violation rather than a criminal charge, with a court appearance scheduled for Sept. 21.
