NASA's JPL and AeroVironment tested larger rotor blades for the SkyFall Mars helicopters, pushing rotor-tip speeds to Mach 1.08 in a Mars-atmosphere test and delivering about a 30% lift boost, enabling heavier payloads and longer flights for the late-2020s SkyFall mission.

Rotor Bike Components has launched the 2INpower SL, which it claims is the lightest dual-sided power meter on the market, weighing in at 530g. The 2INpower SL measures left and right leg power independently and is IP67 certified, meaning it is dust-tight and protected against powerful water jets. The system is compatible with a standard 110x4 spider, as well as with direct mount 1x and 2x chainrings. The 2INpower SL Road provides data which is said to be accurate to +/-1.5% in temperatures from -20°C to 50°C, with no rider recalibration required. The price is €1,149.
