Downed Amtrak Wires in North Philadelphia Force SEPTA to Halt Three Regional Rail Lines
SEPTA suspended service on three Regional Rail lines on Monday morning after downed Amtrak wires at the 16th Street Junction in North Philadelphia. The outage affected the Chestnut Hill East, Fox Chase, and Norristown/Manayunk lines, with service expected to resume by 2 p.m. Commuters faced delays of up to 20 minutes, and trains on other lines were rerouted or terminated early to avoid the damaged infrastructure.
