FAA quietly pilots AI to predict and deconflict air traffic
The FAA is quietly developing SMART, an AI-driven predictive air traffic management tool designed to foresee bottlenecks and suggest flight-path adjustments hours before conflicts occur, with Palantir, Thales and ASI leading the effort as part of a broader modernization push that could debut later this year.
