Apple's iPhone Duo has shifted the conversation about smartphone ergonomics, with some users suggesting the success of its outer display could lead to a non-foldable 'iPhone Solo' variant. While the foldable offers a large screen with thumb-reachable controls, critics note its high price and limited multitasking compared to the iPad Mini.

Leaked AI concept renders of the Galaxy S27 Ultra hint at a redesign of the rear with built‑in magnets and a horizontal camera island, a look reminiscent of Pixel phones. Fans are split: some like the cleaner design and less wobble, while others feel it borrows too much from competitors and could dilute Samsung’s identity. Samsung has not officially confirmed any redesign yet, with the claims coming from credible leaks like Ice Universe and Sawyer Galox.
Motorola's Signature sticks to a familiar design language but is executed exceptionally well: a slim, curved AMOLED display with a slightly textured back for grip, finished in Pantone Martini Olive, delivering solid speakers and a capable camera. An unmappable AI key on the left and a compact, unobtrusive camera island are the main quirks, and while the design isn’t radically new, it proves that good form can complement strong specs and value—aside from a minor rattle on flat surfaces and the missing headphone jack.
A fresh Xperia 1 VIII render shows a square camera island and thick front bezels, suggesting a major redesign that many find unconvincing compared with the Xperia 1 VII. The leak also hints at hardware changes (potentially a larger sensor, Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5) and a return of the 3.5mm jack, with Sony's launch anticipated in the coming weeks amid mixed reactions to the design.

It will be powered by either Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 or Exynos 2600, with rumors suggesting 12GB or 16GB RAM, and a 6.7-inch QHD+ display. The camera setup is expected to remain similar, with minor upgrades. The device will run Android 16 with One UI 8.5 and is expected to be priced around $999, facing stiff competition from other flagship phones.
