"NOAA's Winter Weather Outlook: What to Expect"

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) has released its winter weather outlook, predicting a slight chance for above normal precipitation and an even higher chance for above average temperatures in the northeast. While the outlook covers a three-month period, there is still potential for snow and cold snaps. Powder Ridge Mountain Park and Resort in Middlefield, Connecticut, is not concerned about the weather as they have invested in a snow gun manufacturer that can make snow at temperatures as high as 80 degrees. They plan to have snow on the mountain throughout December and even have a snow play area during their music festival in July.
