Nielsen has cut the lag in its weekly streaming ratings from 28 days to 11, delivering a much more current snapshot of what people watch on streaming services. Public weekly charts remain, but the company will now offer its clients daily streaming data (not publicly released) to help networks, studios, and streamers react faster, with examples like Reacher leading the week and Lanterns making its first chart appearance as audiences log billions of minutes across titles on Aug. 31–Sept. 6, 2026.
