Perez Hilton, real name Mario Armando Lavandeira Jr., was hospitalized after a suicide attempt on Aug. 4 at his Miami-area home, livestreaming self-harm and sustaining lacerations, broken bones and significant blood loss that required surgery; his condition is described as serious but stable as he receives medical and psychiatric care under Florida’s Baker Act. Hilton’s brother-in-law said there were a few falls during the incident, and the family is focusing on physical recovery while psychiatrists assess the mental-health crisis, with supervised visitation of his three children recently arranged.
