Wahi blocked from Canada trip as fixing probe shadows Ivory Coast World Cup plans
Ivory Coast striker Elye Wahi was not cleared to travel to Toronto for a World Cup match against Germany because Canada entry authorisations could not be obtained, amid a widening probe into alleged match fixing and suspicious betting linked to a May Ligue 1 game; the federation says it has no official notification of any judicial or administrative proceedings and Wahi will stay with the squad in the United States as they prepare to return.
