Severe Storms Cause Tornadoes and Damage Across Chicago Area

Severe storms, including tornadoes, tore through the Chicago area and surrounding regions, prompting tornado watches and warnings. Parts of Michigan, including Grand Blanc, were hit hard, with reports of damage, downed power lines, and power outages. O'Hare International Airport briefly grounded departing flights, and tornado warnings were issued for parts of Michigan and Illinois. The threat of additional tornadoes moved east into Indiana, Michigan, and Kentucky, with at least one tornado touchdown confirmed in western Illinois.
