Severe storms threaten Southeast and Mid-South with hail, wind, and tornadoes.

Severe weather is expected to hit the Rockies, Southern Plains, and Southeast, bringing the risk of strong thunderstorms, large hail, damaging winds, heavy rain, and isolated tornadoes. Some areas could experience flash flooding throughout the week. Meanwhile, central and south Texas will experience triple-digit, record-breaking heat. The Great Lakes and Northeast will get some much-needed rain to help with the drought and clear out the smoke from the Canadian wildfires.
