"Upcoming Extreme Weather Threatens West Coast with Snow, Floods, and Heavy Rain"

The National Weather Service has warned of a 70 percent chance of another atmospheric river hitting the West Coast from Jan. 31 through Feb. 6, potentially bringing heavy rain, high winds, and heavy snow at higher elevations to the Bay Area. KRON4 meteorologist Lawrence Karnow anticipates significant snow accumulation in the high country and excessive rain in San Francisco, with the system expected to impact southern Oregon and California as well as extend inland to the Great Basin and desert Southwest.
