Ancient Arrowhead Made from Meteorite Unearthed in Switzerland

A 3,000-year-old arrowhead discovered in Switzerland has been confirmed to be made of iron from a meteorite, but its exact origin remains a mystery. The arrowhead, found near Mörigen, is not from the local meteorite debris field but likely originated from a meteorite impact in Estonia, nearly 600 miles away. This finding suggests early use of meteoritic iron during the Bronze Age, a practice that was rare but not unheard of. Only 55 ancient meteoritic objects have been found across Eurasia and Africa, with 19 of them discovered in King Tutankhamun's tomb. Further research is needed to study the arrowhead's origin in more detail.
