NASA's James Webb Space Telescope (JWST) and Hubble Space Telescope captured stunning images of the Solar System and beyond in 2023. The top 12 images include a pair of galaxies in a gravitational dance, a bridge of gas between colliding galaxies, a fast-expanding planetary nebula, a caterpillar-like cloud of gas and dust, a detailed view of the Ring Nebula, a section of the Orion Nebula showing chemical changes in gas, the Horsehead Nebula, a green comet passing by the Big and Little Dippers, the Perseid meteor shower, a colorful ultraviolet image of Jupiter, a video of a coronal mass ejection clearing away interplanetary dust, and an annular solar eclipse.
