Astrophotographers Unveil Stunning New Nebula Discovery

Astrophotographers Bray Falls and Chester Hall-Fernandez have discovered a new nebula, named FallFer1: The Pistachio Nebula, in the Circinus constellation. Hall-Fernandez spotted an aberration during a sky survey at Mount John Observatory in New Zealand, prompting further investigation. Falls captured a 70-hour exposure of the nebula using his remote-controlled telescope in Namibia. The discovery highlights that there is still much to be explored in the night sky, and serves as an inspiration for amateur astrophotographers.
