Hubble Spots Unclassifiable Cosmic Object.

The Hubble telescope has spotted a galaxy, Z 229-15, that defies simple classification. It contains an active galactic nucleus (AGN), a quasar, and is also a Seyfert galaxy. The central supermassive black hole is actively feeding, causing the material to shine with incredible energy, resulting in the AGN. When AGN are so bright that they outshine the rest of the galaxy, they are classified as quasars. Seyfert galaxies are galaxies where the supermassive black hole is very active but the galaxy is clearly visible.
