NASA has released a stunning image of the universe, combining data from the James Webb Space Telescope (JWST) and Hubble Space Telescope. The image showcases a colorful parade of stars and galaxies within the galaxy cluster MACS0416, located 4.3 billion light-years away. The combination of infrared and visible light reveals a landscape of galaxies in blue and red, with the bluest galaxies being the closest and most active in star formation. The redder galaxies, detected by JWST's infrared instruments, are farther away and dustier. The image also features concentric circles caused by gravitational lensing, magnifying objects behind MACS0416. One of the magnified objects is an enormous star nicknamed "Mothra." This image is the result of combining Hubble's legacy with JWST's valuable data on the early universe.
