JWST uncovers hidden supernova in the Milky Way

The James Webb Space Telescope (JWST) has provided stunning new images of the Cassiopeia A supernova remnant in the Milky Way, revealing intricate details of the explosion's aftermath. The images, taken in near-infrared and mid-infrared light, show dense filaments, bubbles, and streaks of material, providing insights into the shape and distribution of the gas.
