Milky Way's Supermassive Black Hole Spins Rapidly, Distorting Space-Time

The black hole at the center of the Milky Way, known as Sagittarius A*, is spinning so fast that it is dragging space-time along with it, causing it to be squished down like a football. This discovery, made by scientists using NASA's Chandra X-ray Observatory telescope, provides insights into the formation and evolution of galaxies like our own. However, there is no need for concern as the black hole is located too far away to have any impact on Earth.
