"Multiple Large Asteroids Approaching Earth, Including Stadium-Size Threat"
TL;DR
NASA has identified a "potentially hazardous" asteroid, 2008 OS7, the size of a football stadium, which will pass by Earth at a distance of 1,770,000 miles on Friday afternoon. While there is no risk of collision, NASA continues to monitor near-Earth objects and warns of the possibility of an unpredicted impact due to the current incompleteness of the NEO catalogue.
