NASA's Webb Telescope Captures Stunning Images of Supernova Remnants

NASA's James Webb Space Telescope has taken a new detailed picture of the Cassiopeia A supernova remnant, providing finer details to help scientists learn more about it and other supernovae. The image shows the areas where materials were shot out by the supernova and rammed into the surrounding dust and gas. The image also reveals a green loop or softs nicknamed "The Green Monster" in the center-right, which is a curious finding that scientists are still trying to understand. Cassiopeia A is considered a prototypical supernova remnant and the best case study to answer questions about the origin of cosmic dust.
