"Overnight: Small Asteroid Strikes Earth Above Germany"

A small asteroid, approximately 1 meter in diameter, hit Earth's atmosphere above Germany, causing a bright fireball in the sky. The asteroid, designated Sar2736, broke up west of Berlin and may have scattered meteorites on the ground. The event was captured on social media, and asteroid hunter Krisztián Sárneczky discovered the asteroid shortly before impact. Despite the spectacle, the asteroid posed no danger to people on the ground.
