Rare planetary alignment visible in Colorado and Bay Area skies.

Five planets, Mercury, Jupiter, Venus, Uranus, and Mars, will align in the western sky above Colorado on Tuesday evening, visible from anywhere on Earth with clear skies and a clear view of the west. Jupiter, Venus, and Mars will be easy to spot, while Mercury and Uranus may require binoculars. This kind of alignment happens when the planets’ orbits line up on one side of the sun from Earth’s perspective, according to NASA.
