Saturn Regains Title for Most Moons, Surpassing Jupiter.

Saturn has surpassed Jupiter as the planet with the most natural satellites, with the discovery of 62 new moons giving it a total of 145. The new moons are all irregular and were found using a new method called shift and stack. Saturn's moons range in size from the massive Titan to swarms of tiny moonlets, and astronomers believe there could be hundreds more kilometre-sized objects orbiting the gas giant waiting to be discovered.
