Saturn Takes the Lead with 145 Moons in the Solar System

An international team of astronomers, including researchers from the University of British Columbia, has discovered 62 new moons orbiting Saturn, making it the planet with the most known moons in the solar system with a total of 145. The team used a technique called "shift and stack" to detect even the faintest moons, and all the newly discovered moons fall into the category of irregular moons.
