"Surprising Discovery: Early Universe Teemed with Milky Way-Like Galaxies"

Using the James Webb Space Telescope, astronomers have discovered that Milky Way-like galaxies were much more common in the early universe than previously thought. Contrary to existing theories, these disk galaxies with spiral arms and other structures could have formed as early as 3.7 billion years after the Big Bang. The findings challenge our understanding of galaxy formation and evolution over the past 10 billion years, suggesting a need for new ideas in this field.
