"Dog Walker Discovers Near-Complete Titanosaur Fossil"

A man walking his dog in a forest near Montouliers, France, stumbled upon a 70 million-year-old dinosaur bone, which turned out to be part of a near-complete 30-foot-long fossilized titanosaur. The fossil, around 70 percent complete, was slowly extracted by volunteers and taken to a museum in Cruzy. The titanosaur, a cousin of the brontosaurus, was likely stuck in a sandstone barrier during heavy floods. The discovery, kept secret for two years to prevent damage, will be studied and eventually put on display at the museum. Over 25 new species have been uncovered in the same area, and the man who found the fossil plans to pursue a master's degree in paleontology.
