"Unearthing the 'Hell Chicken': New Dinosaur Species Discovered Online"

A grad student discovered a new dinosaur species, Eoneophron infernalis, after purchasing fossils online for a class project. The beaked beast, related to the Anzu wyliei "chicken from hell," roamed Earth during the late Cretaceous period. The new species, named after the Greek word for "dawn" and the Latin word for "hell," is a close relative of A. wyliei and sheds light on the diversity of dinosaurs before the asteroid strike that wiped most of them out. The discovery highlights the importance of accessible fossils for scientific study and suggests that caenagnathids, like E. infernalis, maintained stability and diversity while other dinosaur groups declined.
