LSU Professor Pioneers Lunar and Martian Home Construction

LSU professor Ali Kazemian is collaborating with NASA researchers to develop 3D-printed waterless concrete using native raw materials found on the moon and Mars. The project aims to support the Artemis 3 mission in 2025, which will establish a long-term presence on the moon's south pole. The use of robotic construction technologies and locally available resources is crucial due to the cost and impracticality of shipping materials from Earth. The focus of their research includes sulfur and regolith as potential construction materials.
