New Earth-Size Planet Discovered, Potentially Habitable

Scientists have discovered Gliese 12b, a theoretically habitable, Earth-size exoplanet orbiting a red dwarf star 40 light-years away in the constellation Pisces. The planet, which completes its orbit every 12.8 days, falls within the habitable zone where liquid water could exist. Researchers used data from NASA's TESS to identify the planet and plan to use the James Webb Space Telescope for further atmospheric analysis. While Gliese 12b offers insights into planetary habitability, it is too distant for human travel with current technology.
