Reports of a bright meteor or shooting star across multiple states in the South on Tuesday evening were actually sightings of the SpaceX Dragon capsule carrying private Ax-2 astronauts returning to Earth after a 10-day stay in space, including eight days docked at the International Space Station. The capsule and its four astronauts safely splashed down off the coast of Panama City Beach at 10:04 p.m. CDT. More Dragon missions are scheduled for the coming months, including a robotic version launching this Saturday and a manned mission in August.
