"Private Moon Lander's Emotional Farewell and Historic Science Collection"
TL;DR
The Moon lander Odysseus, part of a historic lunar mission by Houston-based company Intuitive Machines, has ended its brief mission after a rapid descent and a less-than-perfect landing. Before shutting down, it transmitted a poignant farewell image featuring a distant Earth. While it's unlikely to awaken when lunar dawn breaks, there's still hope from the team. This mission marks a historic return for the US in lunar exploration and is part of NASA's efforts to utilize commercial ventures for space exploration.
