"Revived: Japan's SLIM Moon Lander Spotted by NASA's LRO on Lunar Surface"
TL;DR
NASA's Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter captured images of Japan's SLIM moon lander on the lunar surface after its successful precision landing, making Japan the fifth country to achieve a soft landing on the moon. Despite an engine failure causing an upside-down landing, SLIM deployed mini-rovers and is now studying moon rocks, with contact re-established after a period of relying on battery power.
