"Euclid Mission: Launching Soon to Decode Dark Matter and Energy"

ESA's Euclid space telescope, designed to explore the dark Universe and uncover the mysteries of dark matter and dark energy, was encapsulated by a SpaceX Falcon 9 fairing in preparation for its launch on July 1, 2023. The fairing will protect the sensitive telescope and instruments during the last days before lift-off and shield them from Earth's atmosphere during launch. Euclid aims to create the largest and most accurate 3D map of the Universe by observing billions of galaxies across more than a third of the sky, providing insights into the distribution of matter, the expansion of the Universe, and the nature of gravity, dark energy, and dark matter.
