NASA has released new images of the Orion spacecraft, which will carry astronauts on the Artemis 2 mission to orbit the moon, with a scheduled launch no earlier than September 2025. The spacecraft's interior is being finalized at NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida, and the mission will include the first woman to go beyond low Earth orbit and the first Black person to leave low Earth orbit. The Artemis program aims to establish a settlement at the moon's south pole, and more than 30 countries have signed on to the NASA-led Artemis Accords to follow norms of peaceful space exploration.
