"Ingenuity Mars Helicopter Successfully Establishes Communication with NASA"

NASA's Ingenuity Mars Helicopter successfully completed its 52nd flight, despite a 63-day communication blackout with the Perseverance rover caused by hilly terrain. The helicopter's mission was to reposition itself and capture images of the Martian surface. Contact was re-established on June 28 when the rover crested the hill and could see Ingenuity again. If health checks go well, Ingenuity may fly again in the next couple of weeks, with Flight 53 planned to explore a new base of operations near a rocky outcrop.
