Intuitive Machines' Lunar Lander Launch Delayed to February

Intuitive Machines has announced a delay in the launch of its first lunar lander mission, IM-1, to mid-February due to changes in SpaceX's launch manifest. The company had planned to launch between January 12 and 16 but agreed with SpaceX to delay the launch to the next available window. The delay is likely due to the Falcon Heavy launch of the U.S. military's X-37B spaceplane, which has been rescheduled for December 28. Intuitive Machines' lander is ready for integration onto the Falcon 9 rocket and will join Astrobotic's Peregrine lander in attempting lunar landings in February. Both landers are carrying commercial payloads as well as those provided by NASA through its Commercial Lunar Payload Services program.
