Researchers have discovered a honeycomb pattern of fractures on Mars, captured by radar instruments on China's Zhurong rover, providing evidence that Mars once had a more tilted axis and a friendly climate for life. Similar patterns on Earth form in Greenland, Iceland, and Antarctica due to temperature changes, but the Martian crevasses are much larger. The discovery could help scientists determine when drastic climate changes occurred on Mars.
