"NASA's Ingenuity Helicopter Sets New Record with 56th Flight on Mars"

NASA's Ingenuity Mars helicopter completed its 56th flight, flying for nearly 2.5 minutes and covering a distance of 1,334 feet (410 meters) at a maximum altitude of approximately 39 feet (12 meters). The helicopter, which landed on Mars with the Perseverance rover in February 2021, has surpassed 42,000 feet (12,914 meters) of ground coverage and more than 100 minutes of flight time during its mission extension as a scout for the rover.
