Spaceflight Now: Falcon 9 Joins Falcon Heavy in Epic Launch Doubleheader

SpaceX is planning a doubleheader launch from Cape Canaveral, with a Falcon Heavy scheduled to launch first, followed by a Falcon 9 carrying 23 Starlink satellites. If successful, this would be the shortest interval between orbital launches from Cape Canaveral since the 1960s. The Falcon 9 launch is scheduled for 11:05 p.m. EST, less than three hours after the Falcon Heavy launch. The Falcon 9 booster is making its third flight and will attempt to land on a drone ship in the Atlantic Ocean. The second stage will deploy the Starlink satellites about one hour and five minutes after launch.
