SpaceX is targeting February for the third flight test of its massive Starship rocket, with NASA aiming for a crewed Artemis 2 mission in September 2025 and Artemis 3 in September 2026. The upcoming Starship flight will not include the on-orbit propellant transfer necessary for Artemis 3, which is estimated to require roughly 10 refueling flights. Both SpaceX and NASA are working on propellant transfer tests and an uncrewed landing test on the moon with Starship before Artemis 3.
