SpaceX fires up 24 Starlink satellites from Vandenberg as earnings loom

SpaceX is set to launch 24 Starlink satellites from Vandenberg Space Force Base on a Falcon 9 (booster B1063) at 10:05 a.m. PDT, in its 34th Falcon 9 flight and the company’s 90th of the year, with a landing attempt on the droneship Of Course I Still Love You in the Pacific. The Starlink 17-53 mission will expand SpaceX’s LEO constellation to more than 10,800 satellites and arrives just before SpaceX’s first earnings call as a public company, as the company also plans major missions like the Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope on Falcon Heavy and Crew-13 later this year.
