The U.S. military's X-37B spaceplane, operated by the Department of the Air Force Rapid Capabilities Office in partnership with the United States Space Force, will launch on a SpaceX Falcon Heavy rocket for the first time from NASA's Kennedy Space Center on December 7. This mission, known as OTV-7, will involve the spaceplane operating in new orbital regimes and conducting experiments on radiation effects on plant seeds and future space domain awareness technologies. The launch contract with SpaceX is valued at $154,726,072.
