United Launch Alliance (ULA) successfully test-fired its Vulcan rocket for the first time, bringing it closer to its maiden launch. The rocket features two Blue Origin-built BE-4 rocket engines and has faced several delays, including an anomaly with the Centaur V upper stage. ULA is currently investigating the issue and will announce launch plans after reviewing data from the Flight Readiness Firing. The Vulcan Centaur rocket has multiple configurations and is capable of delivering payloads to low Earth orbit or the Moon. ULA is also working on a SMART re-use system for the BE-4 engines.
