Ingenuity helicopter completes 48th successful flight on Mars

NASA's Ingenuity Mars helicopter completed its 48th flight on the Red Planet, covering a horizontal distance of around 1,300 feet and reaching a maximum altitude of around 39 feet. The helicopter is observing potential science targets that could be studied by its robotic partner, NASA's life-hunting Perseverance rover. Ingenuity is now well on its way to a milestone 50th flight and has traveled a total of around 36,000 feet across the Martian landscape.
