NASA Astronaut and Russian Cosmonauts Launch to ISS, Replacing Stuck Crew
TL;DR
NASA astronaut Loral O'Hara, along with Russian cosmonauts Oleg Kononenko and Nikolai Chub, are set to launch to the International Space Station (ISS) today. The crew will launch aboard a Soyuz spacecraft and make one of the fastest-ever trips to the ISS. They will serve as a relief crew for the current ISS crew, who have been in space for over a year due to a delayed return caused by a leak in their Soyuz spacecraft. This launch highlights the importance of having backup vehicles in case of emergencies.
